Michèle Gundstrup founded Beyond Project Leadership in 2008. She did it because she combines both sides of her brain – the analytical and the creative – and is equally at home with soft skills and hard results. In short, she is a resourceful and inventive change leader, with structure and business focus deeply rooted in her engineering background.
Michèle created the first BPL Core program to fill a gap she noticed for leaders who didn’t just want to manage, but who wanted to lead with strength, authenticity, and personal impact. She wanted something that connected leadership to expertise in a way that could produce extraordinary results – and embed new insights into a fundamentally different approach to leadership as a discipline.
Signe Munk shares that same passion.
When their paths crossed at the former Novozymes, they quickly became trusted partners, challenging and inspiring each other along the way.

Both Signe and Michèle deeply believe that how you lead is what makes the difference. Strong professional expertise, business understanding, and high ambition are essential foundations. But on top of that, leadership requires being fully present with yourself – understanding with your mind and body what is happening around you, sensing the energy, and stepping in at the right moment. It takes courage to lead with your whole self – to lead with more than your head.
For them, Beyond Project Leadership is more than a consultancy or a training program – it’s a mindset, an approach, and a way of thinking about leadership that truly moves people and business forward. Leadership that connects closely to business goals, yet is led with heart, body, and soul. The lessons they’ve learned from real-world experience in high-stakes, technical environments are at the heart of their consulting and training programs. They combine hands-on experience from projects with proven models and theories – bringing leadership to life in a practical, tangible way.
"Be the change you want to see" is one of their guiding quotes.
"When the going gets tough, the tough get going" is another.
Anyone who knows them understands why these two sayings matter so much.
